ASSISTANCE WITH THE REGISTRATION AS MILITARY VETERANS ON THE NATIONAL DATABASE FOR MILITARY VETERANS IS NOT THE MAIN PRIORITY OF THE CMVO

The CMVO does not see the assistance to military veterans with the process to register on the National Database for Military Veterans as its main responsibility because this registration process is described in exact detail on the CMVO website which should make it easy to understand and implement by the individual military veterans

However, the CMVO did offer assistance in certain individual cases that required intervention and where the personal circumstances of the individual military veteran demanded urgent attention

In addition to these individual approaches the CMVO also received batches with large numbers of applications for registration on the National Database for Military Veterans from some of its affiliated member organizations for processing. All the applications in these batches had to be validated to check if these comply with the requirements of the Department of Military Veterans before it could be submitted to the department for processing.

This means that the CMVO office not only deals with individual military veterans who approach the office, but also with the affiliated recognised military veterans organizationsA case of a married couple, both Military veterans, who do not receive  any pension and have no medical aid, was referred to the CMVO office to offer support.  They were supported in submitting applications to DMV for registering on the DMV data base and approval of benefits.  The members has since been issued with medical cards and the process to allocate pension benefits to the wife, is in its final stages.
